A small pear with rich yellowish-brown skin when fully ripe. One of the favorite pears at our farm market and widely used for canning. Also known as honey pears, they come fully alive after baking. Ideal for the home garden. Tree is vigorous, hardy and productive, disease-resistant to fireblight. Originates around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the 1700s.
