An American apple from the early 1900s. The original tree was a ‘chance seedling’ found growing in a hedgerow. The golden russeted apple has a crisp, sweet flesh with a ripe pear flavor. This is one of the favorite apples at our tastings. Its larger size with its sweet, juicy, firm flesh makes it a supreme choice for those who love to eat apples out of hand. Also noted for drying.
